Old moving toys ad

What do we think of the toys in the ad?

Selina said:

My favourite toy is a slinky. It can bounce down stairs. You can throw the slinky up and down. I wish I had a slinky. I love slinkies.

James G. said:

My favourite toy is the Rock ‘em Sock ‘em robot. It has control leavers for the robot to punch. My second favourite toy is the slinky because you can race it down the stairs.

Later we inserted photos into Comic Life and wrote speech bubbles.

The Beetles reading group read the play The Animal Band.

The play is about a Donkey who asks some animals to join his singing band on the way to town. At the end they stop at a house and use their voices to scare some robbers away.

In the play Georgia is the reader and Rooster. Ashley is the cat, Madison is the Donkey and Trisan is the dog.

Here is a movie we made of part of the play.

Junior Breakfast

At Junior Breakfast we ate breakfast. First we ate Skippy cornflakes with milk and drank juice in a cup. Then we ate toast with jam. I liked butter and jam. Next we washed our plates and cups with soapy water and dried them with a tea towel. After we brushed our teeth with a toothbrush. Finally we changed into our clothes. I felt happy.

This term Room 9 are doing an inquiry on Personal Challenges

We have decided that a challenge is something we are learning to do or trying to get better at.

There are thinking challenges that use our brain.
There are also active challenges that use different parts of our body, like balancing on one foot.

What do you think a challenge is?

Here is Imogen and Daryush trying a weekly challenge in our classroom.
