Howick Historical Village

Room 9 went to the Howick Historical Village on Wednesday.

We got to play with old toys and learn some games that children played in the past.

Little Twister

We had a go at making our own spinning toy. We tested the little twister by letting it go from a 2m height.

My favourite toy is a slinky. It can bounce down stairs. You can throw the slinky up and down. I wish I had a slinky. I love slinkies.

James G. said:

My favourite toy is the Rock ‘em Sock ‘em robot. It has control leavers for the robot to punch. My second favourite toy is the slinky because you can race it down the stairs.

We read 'Clarence and Friends', a book about different types of vehicles.

It described what they do and what they look like.

We made up some other friends for Clarence. Do you like our pictures?

Autumn is a beautiful season!

What do you like about Autumn?

We went on an Autumn walk and collected some leaves. We brainstormed all about what the leaves look like, sound like and feel like.

Later we inserted photos into Comic Life and wrote speech bubbles.
