Technology Day

On Thursday Room 9 had a Technology Day with Mr Rankin. Have look at some of the photos Reece and Lauren took.

Can you see what we made?

Pukeko

Room 9 are going to do an Inquiry on the Pukeko. Here are the questions that we want to find out.

What do we want to know?

Can pukeko fly?

Where do pukeko live?

How do they scare enemies away?

What do pukeko eat?

Where do they swim?

How do they look after eggs and their babies?

Where do they nest?

Junior Breakfast

We used Comic Life to create our own comics about the Junior Breakfast last Friday.

The Caterpillar

Our poem of the week is The Caterpillar. In the poem it says that caterpillars look like little trains. We like the end when it says they turn into little aeroplanes.

Do you think butterflies look like aeroplanes?

Howick Historical Village

Room 9 went to the Howick Historical Village on Wednesday.

We got to play with old toys and learn some games that children played in the past.

Have a look at our slideshow!

Little Twister

We had a go at making our own spinning toy. We tested the little twister by letting it go from a 2m height.
